congratulations on your upcoming graduation!!

LET'S CELEBRATE YOU.

senior portrait photography

So you booked a photoshoot? How exciting!! Now let's get down to the details...

LOCATION

The first step is finding locations that speak to you. I have found that finding the location first and then planning outfits is much easier. If you already have outfits in mind, we can find locations that match the vibe for that as well! Locations for sessions can be almost anywhere, a studio, an open field, hiking trails, downtown, your home, etc. The possibilities are endless. I have a guide with a few locations around me that I use frequently, but feel free to drive around or show me locations you have found that you love!

OUTFITS

I love having a variety!! Typically clients like to bring three outfits, you can bring more if you want as long as it all fits into the length of the session! When planning outfits I always recommend following the three t's rule. Choose one outfit that is trendy, one that is timeless, and one that is true to YOU. This allows you express yourself and show off your own style. I would avoid big patterns, logos, words, etc. on clothing because we want to focus to be on YOU.

What do I bring?

ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING. I always tell my seniors to bring whatever they want. The senior experience is different for everyone, so no one will have the exact same memories. Bring your senior ring, the instrument that you play, your favorite books, anything that reminds you of who you are at this moment.

Do I have to pose myself?

Don't stress, I am here to walk you through posing and prompts that will make your images look natural and candid. I love adding movement, walking around, swaying, spinning in a dress. It adds so much to your images. You can show me certain poses that you want and we can add those in there as well, but do not stress out over posing, I GOT YOU!

My Goal + Tips

My goal as a photographer is to capture you as authentically as I can. Candid photos are my absolute favorite, so be open minded when I ask you to run or dance hehe. It's the in-between moments that I want to capture, the laughs, the movement, it's all apart of the process. I want your session to be all about YOU and what YOU want. If that is fun colors + disco balls, running away to the mountains, count me in. If that is showing off all your achievements from school or sports, let's capture it. If that is a mix of both, I AM DOWN. Let your imagination run wild and let's capture everything you want.

Here are some tips:

  • Bring water. Especially during the summer IT'S HOT OUT HERE.
  • You can bring more outfits, bring everything you love.
  • TRY YOUR OUTFITS ON BEFORE YOUR SESSION!!!!! + move around in them to make sure you are comfortable and confident.
  • Bring accessories (as many as you want), hair brush, comb, makeup, lipstick, etc. for touch ups and what not.
  • Treat yourself with a manicure, especially if you want to show off your senior ring!!
  • If you are a Pinterest girly like me, please feel free to share your inspo with me!!
  • SHOES: if you are wanting to wear heels or any uncomfortable shoes for your photos (I know the cutest ones sometimes hurt your feet the most), bring an extra pair of comfy shoes to walk around in.
  • YES, pets are welcome to be apart of your session!! I just ask that someone come with to take care of them while we are doing individual photos of you. :)
