Mattison + Ethan
Mattison calls me one afternoon and asks if I would be available on the third of January, two days away and I knew exactly why she was calling. When she had FaceTimed me a few weeks before with a ring on her finger we began the Pinterest board almost immediately! Little did we know we would have two days to plan everything. Mattison and Ethan are just two of the most authentic and loving people you will ever meet. I have had the honor of calling Mattison a friend since high school. Getting to watch her grow, share so many laughs, meet the love of her life, getting to photograph their intimate wedding.... TEARS. She has supported my photography journey since it started, she was always ready to do whatever crazy idea I had, Mattison I am forever grateful for you and our friendship.
Back to their wedding day... It was so perfect. The venue is Ethans childhood home. It is full of so much character and memories. The house itself is one of the most beautiful I've ever seen. I was in awe the moment I walked in. We started the morning off with a sweet letter from one of her best friends, Laura and the tears were already flowing. What better way to start your wedding day?? Her mom and Laura helped with hair and makeup and getting into her dress. The rest of the day flew by, hearing stories of the Mr. and Mrs. from high school where they met, laughter between family and friends who haven't seen each other in years, and everyone happy to be celebrating such an amazing couple. Intimate weddings like this speak to my soul, truly a gift to be able to tell love stories like this one.
